Spicy Black Beans
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cups cooked black beans or 2 (15-ounce) cans, drained and rinsed
  • Salt and pepper
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Small handful (2 to 3 tablespoons) fresh cilantro leaves, chopped

DIRECTIONS:
  1. In a large sauté pan or skillet, sauté the garlic and cumin in the oil over medium heat until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add the beans and season with salt, pepper, and cayenne.
  3. Lower the heat to medium-low and continue cooking for a few minutes until the beans are warmed through.
  4. Add the cilantro on top. Allow any leftovers to cool and store in an airtight container for up to three days.
