Melissa Bennett is a technology executive with more than two decades of experience building and scaling consumer and AI-driven platforms that improve everyday lives.

Melissa specializes in AI-driven systems, scalable platform architecture, and building high-performing engineering organizations. She is particularly focused on the responsible and practical application of AI to support behavior change, improve health outcomes, and expand access to personalized guidance. An engineer at heart, she combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to bring ambitious product visions to life.

Most recently, she led engineering for Thrive AI Health, where she helped develop the technical foundation for AI-powered health coaching at scale. Previously, as Director of Technology at Sweetgreen, she built and scaled the company’s technology organization and platform during a period of rapid growth. She is also the co-founder of Heat Waves Collective, where she led engineering for mission-driven brands including Reformation, Kate Farms, and Nécessaire. Over the course of her career, Melissa has contributed to technology initiatives at Apple, Nike, and FX Networks, and was recognized as one of Ad Age’s 40 Under 40 for her leadership in innovation.

A proud Jamaican and mother of two, Melissa brings resilience, curiosity, and a builder’s mindset to everything she does. Outside of work, she enjoys tennis, spinning, and the occasional karaoke stage.
