3 Delicious Low-Sugar Mocktail Recipes You Can Try This Year

Whether you're doing Dry January or trying to cut back on drinking in general, these mocktail recipes are delicious, easy to make, and healthy.

1. Lazy Toddy

*Note that this recipe makes ~8 servings

What you’ll need

• 8 cups water

• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

• 1 teaspoon ground ginger

• 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

• 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

• 4 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)

• 4 tablespoons lemon juice (adjust to taste)

Directions

1. Bring the water to a boil in a large pot or kettle.

2. Add the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. Stir well, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and stir in the honey and lemon juice. Taste and adjust the sweetness or tanginess as needed.

4. Serve warm and enjoy a cozy, spiced drink.

2. Blackberry Lime Spritzer

Serves: 1

What you’ll need:

• 5 blackberries (fresh or frozen)

• 1/2 lime

• 6 ounces sparkling water

• Ice

Directions:

1. Place the blackberries in your glass and use a spoon to mush or muddle the berries.

2. Squeeze the lime into the glass.

3. Add the sparkling water and stir.

4. Add ice and enjoy.

3. Pomegranate Mule

Serves: 1

What you’ll need

•  2 ounces pomegranate juice

• 1/2 lime

•  4 ounces ginger kombucha (or sub with sparkling water)

• 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Directions

1. Fill a glass with ice.

2. Add the pomegranate juice, juice of ½ lime, ginger kombucha (or sparkling water if preferred), and apple cider vinegar.

3. Stir gently to combine.

4. Top with extra sparkling water, if desired, and optionally garnish with a lime wedge for a decorative touch.
