The Weather.

Whether you like it or not, you are the only one who can do what only you can do. Be you. So why do you keep fighting you?

The Thrive Global Community welcomes voices from many spheres. We publish pieces written by outside contributors with a wide range of opinions, which don’t necessarily reflect our own. Community stories are not commissioned by our editorial team, and though they are reviewed for adherence to our guidelines, they are submitted in their final form to our open platform. Whether you like it or not, it is going to rain. It is going to snow. It is going to get hot. It is going to be windy. You can keep fighting the weather. Or, simply accept what it is.

Whether you like it or not, you are the only you. You are the only one who can be who you are. You are the only one can do what only you can do. You can keep fighting it with a thought. Or, you can simply accept who you are too. Everything it means to be you.

The weather is our daily reminder to allow it to be what it is. To allow others to be as they are. To allow you to be as you are too. So you can stop fighting. And start understanding.

Understanding how your thoughts create the shadow over your life that clouds your view of everything Life simply is too.

Understanding how your mind can also learn how to release these thoughts to return to the lightness. To see everything clearly too.

Understanding how everything passes in Life so we can remember how we are all still learning. You are still learning too. Learning how Life simply is. And how to weather the storms of your life from the Understanding. So you can enjoy every day of your life too. Whether or not it is raining. Or sunny. Cloudy. Or windy too.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
