i always loved healthy debate
and growing up my mom was sure that i would be a lawyer
because i would argue both sides of any issue with passion.

i think all my life, i just wanted to be right
insecurity? an intuitive sense of knowing? ego?
probably all of the above.
to this day, i am not rid of this tendency
ask my wife, she will tell you šŸ™
slowly, very slowly, i am not needing to be right as much

and yet, i am looking at this tendency with fresh eyes
now that i am building something so big, it scares me;

i definitely want people to point out to meĀ
the flaw in what I present,
so that i can adapt it and make it work better
and yet,Ā
i always remember the story of Henry Ford.Ā
Before hiring someone he would take them to lunch
and order them a soup
if they salted the soup before they tasted it,Ā
he would never hire them.
He wanted people who understood what he was doing first
before trying to change anything.Ā

Does this make sense to you?
Please let me know why you think people
like to poke holes in things before they understand them?
How about you?

He is the father of a beautiful special needs daughter who teaches him that he is able to do far more than he ever thought possible; the step father of a handsome and fun loving teenage boy who helps him remember how powerful fear is; and a brilliant and beautiful teenage daughter who reminds him how important it is to live inside out; and #hashtag, their adorable and loving golden retriever who reminds him that life is all about play.   They live by the ocean feeling very blessed, loving others and helping people get what they want.
