I WOKE UP THIS MORNING EARLY
and sat in bed praying
and i sat with why it is so hard for people
to engage in the world.
and as i sat more and more with this
the answer i heard in my soul is
that we are so scared to allow ourselves to be vulnerable
that we no longer even risk making a comment on a post.
if we like it, that seems like enough

in real conversation we often remain quiet
or speak the “right thing to say”
but very rarely do we say what we actually think
we are a nation of people petrified of being judged
afraid of not being good enough
and afraid that people will not like us anymore
if we actually show up as who we are.

i am in the early stages of creating a movement
called The Mosaic Swarm
i am looking for The Minority of One Billion People.
most people will think that i am a dreamer,
some will think the idea is crazy
some will be threatened by it
because it removes power
from the powerful and places it
in the hands of “we the people”

how do we get out of our complacency?
we live in the most connected time the world has ever known
and yet we have become so divisive
we are taking stands with people we do not agree with
just so we can belong to something and be accepted
but if we continue in this divisiveness,
we will tear down the very thing that holds us together
even as a kid, i grew up learning,
“UNTED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.”

we are falling.
we can disagree without hating
we can come together to find the places where we agree
and move forward.

the world is made up of us.
WE ARE THE WORLD WE LIVE IN,
it is not somebody else, doing something to us.

but until we break our complacency,
until we have the courage to be vulnerable and come together
we willingly continue to live in hatred, divisiveness and bigotry
giving rise to the very things none of us truly believe in.

i have traveled a lot
i have sat with the richest of the rich
and the poorest of the poor
and i have found that no matter what religion one practices
or what color their skin, how much money they have
and what house or street corner they live in,
whether they are male or female,
north of the borden of south of the border
everyone wants the same thing:

TO BE LOVED AND ACCEPTED
TO BE LISTENED TO AND ACKNOWLEGED
TO BE VALIDATED AND UNDERSTOOD

not one person i met ever told me
they wanted me to believe what they believe,
they simply wanted to be accepted and loved.

come on people, WE CAN DO THIS!
we are better than the way we are showing up.
all of us
until the sides come to the middle
until we realise we are THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
an example to the world to stand united
to experience what can be done when we work together
to solve together that which brings us suffering.

my meditation closed with this mantra
that came over and over and over to me.
EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE! EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

PLEASE SHARE WITH ME YOUR THOUGHTS…..

    Visionary. Author. Magician. Mentor. Speaker.

Daniel Levin walked away from an opportunity to run a billion dollar business, to hitchhike around the world to find happiness and inner peace.   His life has been a combination of incredible victories and massive defeats. He left the seminary one day before being ordained a Rabbi, and lived as a monk in a monastery for 10 years.  He has meditated every day for over 45 years. He has run a restaurant, a publishing house, a market, a meditation retreat, has owned and run a clothing company, a branding company and a coaching business.   He was the Director of Business Development at Hay House and led it’s growth from $3,000,000 to $100,000,000 in revenue over a 10 year time span.  He started DbL, by branding “the most anticipated hotel opening of the year 2013” according to USA Today, The Andaz Maui @ Wailea Resort and Spa. The book he wrote for them, The Ohana of Red Earth created a corporate culture of family not staff.   Levin is a rare blend of mystic and business guy. He is a storyteller and the beautiful story he weaves in his book, The Mosaic touches the hearts of people and soothes their souls. It is a story about loss and discovery, about seeing the things we can’t see, about knowing the value of every living thing, and about connection.   He is married to his soul mate who teaches him what it means to love and be loved. He is the father of a beautiful special needs daughter who teaches him that he is able to do far more than he ever thought possible; the step father of a handsome and fun loving teenage boy who helps him remember how powerful fear is; and a brilliant and beautiful teenage daughter who reminds him how important it is to live inside out; and #hashtag, their adorable and loving golden retriever who reminds him that life is all about play.   They live by the ocean feeling very blessed, loving others and helping people get what they want.
