It is set to be a memorable night on October 26th at the Beverly Hilton, as Jim Carrey, Emilia Clarke and others will be honored at the Britannia Awards (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) in Los Angeles for their work in entertainment. Jim Carrey will receive the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy -while Emilia Clarke will receive the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year.
BAFTA (a non-profit organization) which was founded in 1987, focuses on securing film industry relations between the UK and the US -while providing scholarships, screenings, seminars and Q&A’s for budding filmmakers, actors and much more. In addition to Jim Carrey and Emilia Clarke being honored, Cate Blanchett will also receive the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film. This year’s awards will be presented by American Airlines and Jaguar Land Rover.
