Hi Beautiful,

Let me ask you something: what is the first feeling you get when you look at this picture? If you where in this place at this right time and moment, at a top of a mountain, looking at the world from a place of peace and love, feeling you have achieved one of your lifetime golas… What is the first thing you would do?

Would you pull your phone and take a selfie?

Would you sit there, in absolute silent and breathe every moment of it?

Would you want to write down how this exact moment is making you feel?

Would you wish that by writing all your emotions and feelings down, it will be somewhere become part of history?

A part of your story that could inspire and motivate others to start believing in themselves and go after their dreams?

Just Imagine someone choosing to read your story, because there was something about it that truly inspired them to step out of their comfort zone and start believing that they, too, can live their awesome life to the fullest.

How would that make you feel?

There’s so much power in reading words that could change someone’s world forever.

I remember when I started my own journey to self discovery… I wasn’t a fan of watching videos on “HOW TO”, I was more into reading a quote or article that popped up on my feed. In my opinion, someone who has the courage to write down what’s happening to them, what is bothering them, or even their deepest secrets… Is someone who’s looking for answers, and by acknowledging that they are looking for help, is one of the biggest step a person can do to get focused and aligned with what they really desire.

Either finding themselves; finding their purpose in life; or just wanting to know why are they in this earth.

Most people look for answer is silence moments… When they can disconnect from the world and finally find time for themselves. Is in true silence that we can find the peace and strength to dig deeper into what want to unleash on ourselves.

Keeping a journal is a great way to have that “ME TIME”, that your mind and soul needs.

It is very simple to do, but yet, most people find resistance in doing it. Excuses such as “I don’t know how to write”; “I don’t have time”; “I wouldn’t know how or where to start”; “I keep note in my head so that should be enough.”

Sounds familiar? Have you ever found yourself saying these words or something familiar?

If you have, then sunshine, is time to step out of your own head and start telling yourself a different story. Everything that we now know how to do, we once didn’t, right? And it took determination and practice to get better and better at it. Journaling is the same, requires the same dedication, and once you get over the first step, which is getting started, then it will come naturally to you, it becomes part of what you do in your daily routine.

Here are 5 easy Journal prompts to help you get started:

1- GRATITUDE: Start each day by writing the things that you are grateful for, every little counts! Being alive; being able to feed yourself every day; having people that love and love back; having a roof over your head. Being grateful for the simple things in life, will help you appreciate your life more.

2- AFFIRMATIONS: The secret to write a powerful affirmation is by being able to see what is not there yet, become the biggest day dreamer ever. Write affirmations on how you want your life to be like; who you want to become; what would you like to be doing with your life; you might not be there yet, or not be that person yet, but the more you write it, the more you’ll start believing it and the Universe will start presenting you with opportunities to make it happen.

TIP: Write this affirmations in the present tense, “I AM”, instead of “I WILL”

3- EVERYTHING YOU LOVE ABOUT YOURSELF. This is for some people the most difficult part, mostly because we tend to over analyze ourselves and focus on our flaws instead of our virtues. When this happens, try to look at yourself from another point of view. Step out of your own self and write as if someone else would say these beautiful things about you, that way you don’t get shy or stop yourself from writing things that are truly amazing about yourself.

4- EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ACHIEVED SO FAR. You might forget about all the things you have achieved in your life, because you are spending too much time focusing on the things that you don’t have; and this prompt links back to our first prompt on our list; GRATITUDE.

Being grateful for what you have, what you have achieved and who you have become, allows you to appreciate who you are, and believe in yourself and what you are capable of.

TIP: Everything counts… Start small if you have to, 5, then 10, the 15 and keep on going every day; you’ll be surprised to discover how much you have achieved in your life.

5- WRITE A LETTER TO YOURSELF. Once again, put yourself in someone else’s shoes and write as if they were writing to you; how important you are in “their” lives; how much of a difference you have made in “their lives”; what “they” love about you; what “they” want from this life. Remember to forgive yourself too, we are all humans and we have all gone through our fair share of mistakes and failures; and please keep in mind that without them, you wouldn’t be who you are today.

Dear Maria,

I love and respect myself. I believe and trust in myself. I forgive myself and accept with gratitude and love everything the Universe has to offer me to help me learn grow and become better and better every day.

I am at peace with my past, the world, my present and myself.

I am grateful for my past, for every experiences I lived, for every lesson I learned, for every person I have met, who have helped me become the woman I am today. I am proud and grateful of who I am, what I do and where I’m going….

You got an idea now, right? I have been doing this since I was old enough to write and it helped me immensely while I was going through my teenage rebel days; and now is helping me again, as the woman I am today.

Always remember:

BE KIND TO YOURSELF!

LOVE YOURSELF UNCONDITIONALLY!

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, INSIDE AND OUT!

Love, Light, BE
