We all know that technological development in recent years has changed everyday life to such an extent that one of the most common phobias today is the nomophobia that is expressed in a sense of anxiety if we have forgotten the mobile at home or we have run out of battery in our mobile device (phone, tablet or laptop). Since the smartphone came into the life of the Spanish, more and more people and especially young people, develop a psychological dependence on the use of mobile.

Beside that the Computer science has been responsible for developing the devices and programs that have taken us to have all the knowledge in the palm of our hand and to shorten distances with the touch of a button. We went from the telegraph to WhatsApp and from the black and white television, to cell phones or High-resolution tablets.

TECHNOLOGY AND MIND

We spent most of our time interacting with a technological device connected to the Internet, whether it is the cell phone, the computer or tablet, have an impact (both positive and negative) on our mind. Well-applied technology helps us, for example: to organize ourselves better, to learn new things, to keep track of our goals and personal advances or to shorten distances with friends or family. However, the other side of the coin is that, by not being aware, we can bombard ourselves with damaging, stressful information, regardless of whether we are alone or accompanied, we are online, and so where is the time for intimacy with myself and my relationships?

TECHNOLOGY AND EDUCATION

Today, technology is becoming a natural part of people. It is present in everything that surrounds them, from work, the closest circles and the home itself. In this digital process, education plays a fundamental role, not only because it allows students to accrue the skills to survive in this society, focused on the technical knowledge, but also contributes to their own learning experience.

New technologies are a fundamental tool for the improvement of educational processes. Information technologies & communication  (ITC classes near me) have an increasing influence on the way of communicating, learning and life.

Integrating technology in the classroom goes beyond the simple use of the computer and its software, requires the active participation of the student, frequent interaction between the teacher and the student participation and collaboration in a group and the connection to the real world.

Incorporating these tools in education provides a series of benefits that help improve efficiency and productivity in the classroom and increases the interest of students in their academic activities.

I am convinced that the challenge is to use these technologies effectively so that they serve the interests of the students as a whole and the entire community.

TECHNOLOGY AND FAMILY

Undoubtedly, technology has presented new challenges for current families, especially in terms of communication, but it also offers new forms of coexistence. First, we must focus on the fact that technologies are tools that offer us alternatives, so we must use them in our favor and understand the role they have in the lives of our loved ones. As dads, it is important to understand that children are not “born with the integrated chip”, know how to operate and manipulate a gadget (which is a design to operate intuitively) does not mean that you know how to use it responsibly and ethically.  We must teach them to use security filters, not to share personal data and to strengthen their self-esteem through quality coexistence with them.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
