Imagine your thoughts are like bubbles and each bubble is a different thought.

A bubble could be a feeling, I feel happy.

A plan, Gotta hit the grocery store later today.

A memory, I remember when we went there.

Your brain a bubble making machine, but your mind holds the power to choose which bubbles we focus on. If a thought comes up that doesn’t serve you, perhaps it’s full of negative emotions or even a damaging story, then just take a deep breath and pop that bubble. Seeing your thoughts and then choosing which ones to hold onto is a powerful skill that is easily accessible to those who are willing to take responsibility for their thoughts, words, and actions.

This is how you train your brain to have a positive mindset.

And it doesn’t mean you’ll never having a negative thought, it means you know which ones to pop and which ones to hold onto. This takes repeated actions and patience, but just like anything else in life, whatever you set out to achieve you can accomplish. Success of any kind starts with a healthy mind, and a healthy mind is only achievable with a positive mindset

First let’s start with a little self awareness, what is your attitude towards life?

Pause and try to answer that question in your head.

.

.

This is an important question to ask yourself because your quality of life is shaped by your attitude towards life. And your attitude is shaped by your mindset. If you want a better quality of life, it literally starts with what you’re thinking. So then the question becomes, if you can alter your life with your mind, then how do we keep a positive outlook to shape positive experiences?

Here’s the secret…It’s not about what you can control, it’s about what you choose.

When things come your way that are out of your control, what matters most is what you choose to do with it. Do you work through it with a positive mindset? Or a defensive and doubtful attitude? The better you get at popping the bubbles that don’t serve you, the stronger your mind will become in selecting the positive thoughts, words, and actions. And trust me, you need that strength, we all need to continue building our strength because the only thing constant is change. Things are going to happen that are out of your control all the time, for the rest of your life. But change isn’t a bad thing. With the right mindset, change isn’t negative at all. It’s an opportunity, a new chance for further growth.

One way you can you can train your brain to adopt a positive mindset is by Expecting Good Things! Expect more good out of life than bad. Expect to succeed more than you’ll fail. And no, I’m not saying all you have to do is “expect” success. If you want something big ask for it, earn it, and believe you’ll get it. This will help keep your mind in a positive state and open to all possibilities. Success comes from a healthy mindset and by developing the right attitude while believing in your capabilities.

Maybe you need to pause for a second and reflect on how do you see yourself?

This is important because having a positive mindset and outlook on life starts with how you view yourself. Let me just say this, speaking from experience, even if you don’t see a way, perhaps you lack the resources or, seemingly, the skills to achieve your goal, just start with believing that you will attain those things. That’s all a part of the journey. Anything you need to be successful and fulfill your purpose, can and will come across your path if you hold onto the right bubbles. You will attract what you focus on.

And the more you practice this, the easier it will become. When you train your brain to focus on positive thoughts, it will start to feel natural to you.

Even when people treat you poorly or lack courtesy, be aware of your thoughts and don’t permit yourself to drop to their level. With the right mindset, you can grow and flow through those interactions and release them from your energy space.

Our lives, our relationships, our work are all a result of our attitude and mindset, whether healthy or unhealthy. We create our environment with our outlook and response to life, so the key is to choose wisely. Since your mind can only hold one thought at a time, hold onto something positive!

The reality is, there’s nothing to gain by being negative, so remain positive and keep growing forward.
