AS THE RAINS BEGIN . . . 
i am thankful for the simplest of things
i am thankful for:

the rain and the sun, for the day and the night
and for my ability to witness the beauty of the ordinary

my wife, Ana, 
she is the heaven i have been searching for my entire life
her unconditional love and her patience with me
even when i am scared to love and open up
make me feel invincible

my daughter, elisa  
who has taught me unconditional love
in her simple happiness, i see what is most important in life

and Ana’s children, Valentino and Camila
who show me day in and day out that love 
is more than just a blood relationship
they have loved me in their own way 
even when i was unable to love them in the way i wanted to

for hashtag, the dog, who wants only what all of us want
to be loved and accepted.

to my brother, Jay who love for me never wavers
even if in the day to day of life we sometimes 
are unable to show each other how much we love each other.

to my family, my aunt and my many cousins 
who were there for me when i really needed them
even though now we hardly ever see or speak to each other.

to all of you who are my friends
i thank you for seeing me and loving me
for accepting me and acknowledging me
what better gift can you give me.
i love you and admire you,
and hold the space for you to be yourself with me.

to our home that keeps us warm and dry
i am so thankful to you for keeping us safe
and fro giving us a space to love and feel loved.

to the blessing of rain on our land that is way too dry
i find you are like the very life i live
a beautiful blessing that i all too often don’t see
because i look for you in another package
where the sun always shines and life is sunny
but it is you the rain that nourish me most
when i love and accept you too.

everything in life wants to be love and accepted
and seen for the blessing it is in our life
even the rain and the pain and the sadness and the hurts
they are all just love letters to us
from a universe that in madly in love with us.

    Daniel Levin walked away from an opportunity to run a billion dollar business, to hitchhike around the world to find happiness and inner peace.   His life has been a combination of incredible victories and massive defeats. The book he wrote for them, The Ohana of Red Earth created a corporate culture of family not staff.   Levin is a rare blend of mystic and business guy. He is a storyteller and the beautiful story he weaves in his book, The Mosaic touches the hearts of people and soothes their souls. It is a story about loss and discovery, about seeing the things we can’t see, about knowing the value of every living thing, and about connection.   He is married to his soul mate who teaches him what it means to love and be loved. He is the father of a beautiful special needs daughter who teaches him that he is able to do far more than he ever thought possible; the step father of a handsome and fun loving teenage boy who helps him remember how powerful fear is; and a brilliant and beautiful teenage daughter who reminds him how important it is to live inside out; and #hashtag, their adorable and loving golden retriever who reminds him that life is all about play.   They live by the ocean feeling very blessed, loving others and helping people get what they want.
