Laying by my Mate

My brain is racing
Future chasing
Confused state
Wired, as I lay by my mate
Tired in this state
Desperate
To hold on
This love is so strong
Hanging onto this bond
Wanting his skin
Devoting all to him
Where to begin
Surrendering
To feed him
Eat it all in
Taking another deep breath
As I move around restless
Then
Grounding me so
The magic hands from Moe
He stirs and places them on my head
His fingers massage my scalp
Moving across slow
Assuring me, allowing me to be, this act
Let’s me go
Away from the cray
His way to let me know
It’s all ok
In stillness we lay
“I love you” he will say
Reminding me “it’s time for sleep”
In his heart tonight he will keep
Me
Safe and
Protected, with ease
Absolutely yes! More of this please
Until another day
I can put this all away
Thoughts at bay
I rest my sighs
Closing my eye
Floating to dreams
Carried by light beams
Enfolded in him closing my eyes finally for the night
I lay calm in his moonlight

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
