THE VALUE OF TIME from the Book – Procrasdemon

Understand one thing – the time is the only actual currency you have. Even though it might be daunting for some people, it’s the ultimate truth.

Procrasdemon – The Artist’s Guide To Liberation From Procrastination

In this world, one of the biggest illusions that we live in is that we have unlimited time. With that mindset, we are uncontrolled to waste it as much as we can.

What if I tell you that even if you lose the entire amount you have earned in your life, you can still recover it?

In the same way, it won’t even be hard to get your lost respect back in life.

I am pretty sure we have all heard stories of people who have got their health back after being sick for years.

On the other hand, time is non-renewable.

Have you heard the story of the man who wasted his life taking drugs and playing Sudoku, and when he realized that he could do something meaningful, he worked hard and even got his time back?

There isn’t one because you can’t get your time back.

“Each human being has exactly the same number of hours and minutes every day. Rich people can’t buy more hours. Scientists can’t invent new minutes. And you can’t save time to spend it on another day.”

Denis Waitley

Maybe you will be able to rebuild everything you have lost. But time, my friend, is always ticking. And remember, no matter what you do, you will never be able to win it back again.

The time you profligate in procrastinating is the actual wealth you are wasting.

Especially if you could be creating something beautiful in that time that would have given a meaningful dimension to your life.

When you go to work, you get paid for your work. Haven’t we always been taught that time equals money? I am sure you know this. However, time is way beyond money.

What happens when we do a job?

We exchange our time for it.

But what if someone is lazy and has decided to steal some money? What if that person is caught?

That person will go to prison and do ‘time’.
So, what’s the only asset that we possess?

With the power of compound interest and money management, you can always multiply your money. The same doesn’t happen with time. Sad, isn’t it?

Time is limited. Let me repeat it again: time is non-renewable.

Procrasdemon will steal the most valuable asset you have.

So, next time you get angry with someone who took your money and never returned it, think about your Procrasdemon.

In my life, it has always been the Procrasdemon that stole more – It was never guilty, but proud, and always needed more.

Procrasdemon makes you waste your time on things that do not add value to your life.

It has the power to actually make you waste your entire life doing purposeless things, and the worst part is that you won’t even be aware of this.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
