Social media is the pedestal for many popular content creators. This space in particular is utilised by budding creators & established creators as well. The man from Oakdale CA, Eriksen Dickens, has worked consistently hard and invested his energy into filmmaking. Eriksen Dickens started from the bottom undergoing loads of struggle and issues considering his father’s demise, mother’s poor health condition, and hardships in regular life. The aspiring actor-director turned his fate upside down and went on bagging awards for short films at international film festivals. Recently Eriksen Dickens, took to Instagram to release a hilarious video about the Oakdale, CA townies.

The video titled ‘Oakdale Bud’ is a hilarious parody on the lifestyle of Oakdale citizens.

He says every single person is a unique puzzle composed of pieces of personality, life experiences, knowledge, and emotions. Every person has their own perspective and world view, largely fueled by the way they’ve experienced and navigated the world. Regardless of the exact path one’s life has taken, the journey leaves its mark on the person and shapes the way they interact with the world today.

You’ve dreamed about it. You want it. You wonder if it’s really possible. You worry about being realistic. You worry about failing miserably. You worry about missing out. In your heart, you know you’re ready to live a different life. It doesn’t matter that it might seem odd to everyone around you to want something out of the norm. Your heart is calling you to reach for a life that is unique. Well, it’s possible. You can do it said Eriksen.

“I was hesitant to release it at first because I didn’t want people to think I was throwing shade at Oakdale,” Dickens says. “I love Oakdale. Oakdale is very near and dear to me. So I was relieved with all the positive feedback I was getting. People seemed to know it wasn’t done out of spite. It was just a playful parody.”

If you’re going to live a unique life, you must stop making excuses. Yes, even the really good reasons and real problems. Excuses, all of them. Each reason you have not to live the unique life you were meant to live is a terrible excuse born out of your doubt, fear and uncertainty. Think about it again, YOUR unique life. Custom-made, designed especially with you in mind. Those reasons to delay beyond today are just excuses. Don’t settle for anything less. Stop justifying and rationalizing your fears. You don’t even need to fight them. Just set them down right over there. We’ll come back to them in a moment he concluded.
