Every now and when a long weekend approaches it seems like the perfect time to plan out a spontaneous trip with family and friends. This time a few of my closest work colleagues were on board to plan a quick trip outside Colombo and to our surprise, it was totally worth our time. We chose Bolgoda since it was only 45 minutes away from Colombo and I had previously heard from a member of my family that the marina bay in Bolgoda provides exciting day passes that provide a combination of relaxing and fun water activities.
Moments after our arrival at The Marina,we were welcomed with a refreshing drink and a cold towel and might I add a great start to the weekend. After settling in we began our way to the water activities with the crew and experienced an exhilarating boat ride followed by a Jet Ski ride around the Bolgoda Lake. The chaperone made sure our crew was instructed well to avoid any kind of inconveniences.
Before the evening ended we took advantage of the heated Jacuzzi and spent the rest of the time in the pool having great conversations and ended the night with some good food and made our way back home happier than ever, excited to make plans for the next long weekend to come.
