Talking About Depression Saved My Life

And it might change yours.

Geoff speaks about the power of speaking up when suffering from depression and anxiety through his own very personal and, at times, “raw” story. He challenges organisations to see the competitive advantage that can come from addressing the wellbeing, in particular mental health of employees, and encourages us to tell our story. Every story that is told is like sending a lifeboat into the ocean where those that are suffering cling onto the lifeboat and realize they are normal.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
