Pick a time every day when you take a “technology time out” and put your devices away. Researchers from the University of California, Irvine found that taking even a short “email vacation” reduces stress and allows you to focus more.

How to do it

  • Block the time in your calendar so that people know you can’t be reached.
  • Keep a notebook or journal to write in daily.
