The conversation surrounding mental wellness at work is heating up as more companies recognize the value of improving their employees’ mental health.

And as co-founder of a corporate wellness company, I couldn’t be happier about it. I come to work every day with the mission of helping employees across all industries take better care of their bodies and minds, right at work.

The trouble is, many HR departments and workplace wellness programs are solely dedicated to improving employees’ physical health, with mental health as an afterthought. But health is much more than just a number of a scale or a lowered risk of chronic disease. Overall health should include not only the body but also the mind and spirit as well.

Now’s the time to be proactive about promoting mental wellness in your workplace. The first step? Finding out your how your employees currently feel about mental wellness. An anonymous survey can be a great tool to learn more about how your company is currently helping employees handle stress and other mental health issues at work.

Here’s a sample survey that you can send to your employees, using a tool like Typeform, SurveyMonkey, or Google Forms.
