Chinese-born businesswoman and movie producer, Wendi Murdoch, is a co-founder of Artsy, a platform for discovering, learning about and collecting art, and well-known as the largest startup in the fine art industry.
Tech investor in both Chinese and US start ups including: Uber, 23andme, Oscar, WeWork, Diamond Foundry, Alibaba, Tencent, Meituan, Toutiao, Warby Parker, Cadre and Xiaomi.
In 2011, Ms Murdoch made her debut as a producer with Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. Based on the 2005 best-selling novel of the same name, this historical drama won the Golden Angel Award at the Chinese American Film Festival. Selected for the London Film and Sundance Film Festivals 2016, Ms Murdoch was a producer of art documentary, Sky Ladder: The Art of Cai Guo-Qiang.
Ms Murdoch holds an MBA from Yale University's School of Management and a BA in economics from California State University at Northridge in Los Angeles. She serves on the advisory board of the Yale School of Management and is a Chairwoman of the Friends of the Costume Institute at the Met Museum in New York City.
