My journey in Yoga commenced at the age of 11 years under the guidance of Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar. As my interest and passion in yoga developed, it was honed by numerous teachers from different schools of Yoga- including Kaivalyadham & Bihar School. Over time and with increasing intensity of practice coupled with my ability to connect and empathise with people, I have been offered a variety of opportunities to impart my knowledge -an assistant teacher for children's yoga, a substitute teacher for Women, conducting a Hatha yoga class for marathon runners - each of which has been enriching and satisfying. This enduring passion has now lead me to make it my vocation.
I am also a breast cancer survivor. Practicing yoga has promoted my health and well-being and helped me overcome stresses, strains, aches and pains. Yoga both relaxes and energises the body and mind and brings vitality, flexibility, strength, concentration, self-confidence and emotional calm.

“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
