Ruth C. White, PhD MPH MSW is a stress management expert, DEI consultant, mental health advocate, and a clinical associate professor of social work at the University of Southern California. In addition to being a social work professor for more than 20 years, Dr. White has worked in the DEI space for 30+ years. Inspired by her own journey with bipolar disorder, she is a mental health activist and advocate who focuses on eliminating mental health stigma, expanding mental health services, and works with organizations to create healthier and happier workplaces and workforces by building emotional resilience and reducing stress, burnout and compassion fatigue. Dr. White is the author of 'The Stress Management Workbook: De-stress in 10 minutes or less' and ‘Everyday Stress Relief: Essential techniques to boost resiliency and improve your health’. She explores the junction of culture and mental health through the Culture-in-Mind blog on the PsychologyToday platform, publishes social commentary on Medium, and is vocal on  YouTube. During the COVID19 crisis, she is a regular contributor on mental wellness for KRON4 TV Bay Area Morning Buzz.
