Katie Horwitch is a writer, speaker, mindset coach, activist, and the founder of WANT: Women Against Negative Talk. Founded in 2007, WANT is a platform that gives women tips, tools, motivation, and inspiration to move forward fearlessly in life by shifting their negative self-talk patterns. On its podcast, WANTcast: The Women Against Negative Talk Podcast, Katie tackles subjects like loneliness, jealousy, and self-worth, and interviews visionary women about taking a proactive approach to the full spectrum of life's high highs and low lows. As a speaker, Katie has facilitated workshops and given keynote addresses for organizations such as SXSW, I AM THAT GIRL, The Good Fest, Teachable, Lululemon, The Fullest, and University Of New Haven about cultivating confidence, living fearlessly, and finding, being and staying your Self in a world that prefers you'd stay small and silent. Her work has been featured in dozens of online and print publications such as The Cut, mindbodygreen, Brides, Insider, Darling, and Livestrong, and has been praised by CNN as a “woman empowering others around the world.” She's also been in the fitness industry for over a decade and currently teaches indoor cycling and running classes for the audio fitness app Aaptiv and at Equinox. Currently, Katie is living in New York City with her husband Jeremy and dog-daughter Frankie, and spends her energy on shifting the cultural self-talk paradigm, producing engaging new content for women both online and off, advising creatives and entrepreneurs on how use their unique strengths to make the biggest impact possible, and singing loudly while she runs.
