I am no stranger to the furniture industry. From spending summers at the store helping deliver mattresses to the customers' homes to creating TV and radio commercials, I have been fully involved in the family business. After graduating from Northeastern University with a degree in Marketing and Finance, I moved back home to join the family business full-time. After four years of working in various roles - inventory management, product development, finance and marketing - I wanted to expand my knowledge and the family business to the United States. It has always been my dream to follow in the footsteps of the family’s successes with a product of my own that also embodies the history and culture of the island life I fondly grew up in. This is how we developed Drumi.
I grew up around a family business rooted in furniture retail and customer experience, and was always involved in exploring fun marketing ideas. After graduating from Bentley University with a degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, I started my career as a marketing analyst at an advertising agency and later joined the family furniture business. At the business, I served multiple roles in social media marketing, sales management, and setting up the credit department. After working in the business for a couple of years, I decided to join on board with Girish to develop our own online mattress brand. This way, I could continue to pursue my passion for marketing and data analytics, while still remaining in the furniture industry.
