Juan de Lascurain is an entrepeneur-designer from Mexico City. His background includes playing tennis in College in the U.S. as well as competing in international triathlons, including the 1999 Hawaii Ironman.
In 2004 while coaching tennis in Beverly Hills a gentleman offered him free air time on a local non-profit tv network and it was then that he started the Dream Big brand. He spent 4 years interviewing celebrities, athletes and covering some of the biggest events around the world and realized that he had an inspiring message to share.
In 2008 while at a friends house he grabbed a sharpie and painted a doodle on a napkin. A lady saw him and told him he needed to paint. He started painting and discovered a talent he didn´t know he had. Most people told him to stop dreaming, to get a real job and that artists didn´t make money. He didn´t listen and decided to develop the vision of his brand.
After a while he ran out of money and ended up just having a $500 car, but he kept on going and his vision, faith and efforts have payed off. Today he speaks around the world, commercializes his brand and loves to inspire others so that they can also accomplish their dreams.
“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
- MARCUS AURELIUS
