Jeanette Pavini is a two-time Emmy Award winning on-camera consumer reporter completing over 10,00 money saving news stories. From 2000 to 2008 Jeanette was the chief consumer reporter for CBS 5 News in San Francisco. Her money-saving segments became the backbone to her 30-minute consumer show, The Real Deal. This Emmy nominated show ran for 10 years both on CBS and NBC and is the recipient of eight Press Club Awards for Best Program.
Jeanette has been a featured guest contributor for The Today Show and Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family Show. As a columnist for MarketWatch and The Wall Street Journal Sunday she offered readers money-saving advice and consumer protection tips. Jeanette also worked as an on-camera contributor to The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, as well as an on-camera special features reporter for USA Today. She has contributed money-saving tips to ABC, NBC, FOX, Oprah.com, New York Daily News and hundreds of other national shows and periodicals. Since 2008, Jeanette has worked alongside with coupons.com to help people learn simple ways to save money and improve their financial lives.
She is the recipient of a 2008 and a 2009 Emmy Award, seven Emmy Nominations, The Edward R. Murrow Award, The Associated Press Award, two National Headliner Awards, nine Press Club Awards and The National Consumer Action Award in Media for her work as a consumer advocate. Her three-year investigation into the wireless industry’s business practices led to the first of its kind settlement with The Attorney General’s Office, which gave millions of dollars back to Californians. Her investigation aired on ‘30 Minutes’ (created by Don Hewitt) and two primetime specials. In 2011 she wrote and produced her first documentary, “From Hell to Heaven” which focused on the dedicated people working for change in the world of human trafficking. Jeanette co-authored, “Raising Baby Green” which was the recipient of the Nautilus Gold Medal Book Award & The Library Journal. She serves on the board for Her Future Coalition and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
