Thrive Global Campus Ambassador from Harvard University
Ashley Cooper is a sophomore at Harvard College jointly concentrating in Neuroscience (on the Mind, Brain and Behavior Track) and Social Anthropology. She is also pursuing a secondary field in Theatre, Dance and Media and a Language Citation in French. She is deeply interested in the intersection between culture and psychiatric care. Ashley recognizes that representation is of paramount importance when it comes to working towards total equity in mental health care and subsequently yearns to improve mental healthcare to better meet the idiosyncratic needs of minority communities.
“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
- MARCUS AURELIUS
