I can already feel it.

The cold chill. The desire for hot chocolate. The sudden need for cosy blankets. Warm food.

WINTER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER.

Are you ready?

Not for the cold spell but for the internal processing?

People think of winter as a cold, frozen, barren, death. Not exactly warm and fuzzy.

But…Winter get’s a bad rap. Without Winter there would be no Spring.

The Earth is hard at work during Winter. Nature is stripped back to her roots and the animals hunker down and hibernate.

Why? Because rest is a part of the process. Deep rest. Death is a part of the cycle. Coming back to the core of who you are is necessary.

Winter is the season where all the prep work is done. And it’s all underground. We don’t see the seeds breaking through their shells and creating a root system that will support flower or tree. Not yet. Winter is beneath the surface.

Don’t be fooled that Nature is not hard a work. It’s her busy season! For the spring flowers and springs lamb that are delighted in are nurtured and protected in the Winter.

Are you ready to go inwards and do the deeper work this winter?

Are you asking the questions to come back to your core? Are you preparing space to hold yourself during the winter season. Are you prepped to take care of you.

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS ARE ALL WELL AND GOOD. BUT…

Most people falls short by the first week of February? Why? Because they’re not securely planted and grounded. 9/10 they are reactionary against something we don’t want. They don’t have the space to breathe.

Thanksgiving. Black Friday. Christmas parties, drinks, school plays, shopping, travelling and family drama to navigate. Christmas itself. The post-Christmas come down.

All within 5 weeks.

It’s a lot.

And the most folks rush to make resolutions around New Year’s parties and back to school/work.

IT’S WHY JANUARY SUCKS.

You’re coming off a month of highly charged emotional and practical activity into…nothingness.

Dark. Cold.

Summer feels like centuries away. The Christmas bills arrive and so does flu season.

WINTER IS FUN.

No, really it is. Ok, not the above version. But in its truest, purest version. It is beautiful. The blanket of fresh snow speaks of a return to purity. The trees in their nakedness remind us that even stripped back to our core, we still stand strong.

WINTER IS NOT A SEASON TO BE MESSED WITH. AND NOT ONE YOU CAN AVOID.

Which, love, is why I’m telling you this now.

Preparation is everything.

You Spring clean your house?

NOW IS THE TIME TO RESET FOR WINTER.

Grab a journal and pumpkin spice latte and ask yourself these questions.

  • What do I want to let go of this winter (thoughts, beliefs, patterns, ways of being).
  • What has completed in this years cycle?
  • When who I am is stropped back to me core, who am I?
  • How do I desire to take exquisite care of myself this Winter?
  • What can I put in place to ensure I have space to rest this season?
  • What do seeds do I want to plant for Spring?
  • What is going on in my life/business/career that I want to nurture and protect?
  • What structure/plans can I put in place to care for myself?
  • When I reconnect with the purity of my Soul, what does my Soul want me to know.

Take some time with these questions before the world gets busy.

I’ll be back to help you close out 2019 and prep for a powerful 2020 in December. But the prep starts here.

TO START STRONG, END STRONG.

Do the work, get the results.

HERE’S TO WINTER.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
