Why A Popular Gym Chain is Banning Cable News From Their TVs

This is the new stress-free way to work out.

If you’re trying to cut back on certain kinds of stress-inducing media intake while you’re working out, you may want to think about joining the national gym, Life Time.

Life Time announced on January 4th that they will no longer be broadcasting CNN, FOX or MSNBC on their large television screens in all 130 locations, reports People. This decision was prompted by “many member requests over time.” Hopefully, this decision will a bit more ‘zen’ into your workout.

A Life Time spokesperson further said that this decision was based on “our overall healthy way of life philosophy and commitment to provide family oriented environments free of polarizing or politically charged content.”

If you are an avid news-watcher, don’t fret, you will still be able to watch the outrages of the day from the individual screen on your cardio machine.
