Where Do You Want to Be?

We’re almost two weeks in.. Where do you want to be a week from now?

Do you want to have worked out 3–5 times with all the on-line classes being offered at the moment?

Do you want to finish a book? (We’ve all started books, but have you finished one, two, maybe three?)

Do you want to clean your basement or closets that you’ve been meaning to all these years?

Do you want to watch a movie with your kids? (I’ll be damned if I don’t get my daughter to watch “Little Women” with me by the time this is over).

Do you want to finish a 1000 piece puzzle? (Check this off the list if you’ve already done one).

Here’s where the power lies: You get to decide.

You get to decide what you want to create and how you want to feel.

Keep it simple.

Get an index card and write down three key areas for personal development:


Work/Creative Endeavors


Now decide how you want to feel a week from today in each of these important areas.

What do you want to have completed? Who do you want to feel more connected to?

How do you want to feel physically?

Call to Action: Put yourself in motion. Take action and do what you said you would.

Look at your index card every day when you’re brushing your teeth (please tell me you’re still doing that).

Know it’s up to YOU, and only you, whether you make things happen.

You get to decide- your schedule, your accomplishments, the amount of fun and joy you want to have, the way you want to feel by the end of week three.

Remember, how you want your future to look and feel is totally in the hands of your present moment. The future is now.

That’s the silver lining (in my opinion) of this seemingly never-ending snowstorm challenge.

The opportunity for us to take a reset, for our thoughts, for our feelings, for our behaviors, deciding, as a result of this universal challenge, what matters most, for all of our future.
