You’ve certainly seen his posts online shared by thousands of users on Instagram. Maybe you have seen him talk on a big stage during a conference about his journey to become an entrepreneur and overcome struggles to be where he is now, or as the founder and CEO of an international social media marketing agency, Kubbco. But there is an inspiring story behind why Chris ‘Kubby’ Kubbernus is who he is now, and the whole world needs to know.

Chris Kubby is the definition of self-made. He wasn’t handed a golden ticket. It wasn’t a chance that pushed him to become who he is now. Chris was driven to reach his dreams. He had to work hard to become successful. Unlike many other entrepreneurs, he did not inherit his business, nor was he able to go to top business schools in the country to be great at what he does. He had to do it all by himself and learn everything he could the hard way. Failures, lots of them, but it is through this that he learned everything he knows now.

“I just want people to know what it took to get here,” Chris shares. “It hasn’t been all fun, and you should know that. I was crap at the start, but I studied, I practiced, and I got better and better and better.”

Today, Chris is the founder and CEO of an international social media marketing agency Kubbco. Chris and his team work with global Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies helping them with their social media and digital advertising. Furthermore, they have also recently launched a virtual influencer for the brand Essence Cosmetics, which makes them one of the five agencies across the world who are doing this kind of work.

He also travels to different cities across North America and Europe to speak to thousands of people at various conferences. But like most things, it took work to build his speaking career. He recalls that it took him many free gigs, lots of preparation, networking, unsuccessful pitches, and a lot of red-eye flights to be able to get to where he is now.

So far Chris has built a reputation as a great speaker with a unique style of knowledge, inspiration, humor, and audience engagement to his keynotes sharing insights from his 20 years of experience as a digital marketer. He’s spoken at the first Snapchat conference, Snaphappen, Ungagged, Summit Live, Mobile Summit, eTail, ISC, Infoshare, SocialDay UK, just to name a few.

Behind his success, Chris has been through breakdowns after breakdowns that fuelled his breakthrough, a successful entrepreneur, a leader, a keynote speaker. Wherever his journey takes him, one can only hope that he continues doing what he does. Because of him, there are a lot of young entrepreneurs who are doing their best to turn their lives and careers around.

It’s true when they say, because of someone else’s story and lessons, it inspires you to inspire others.
