What is beauty ?

Ask this question, and you’ll get a multitude of different answers.

Less than a century ago, the dictionary defined beauty as “properties pleasing the eye, the ear, the intellect, the aesthetic faculty, or the moral sense”. Today, the default definition of beauty is narrow, focusing only on what is pleasing to the eye. This change has gained momentum because, for a long time, beauty, even natural beauty, has been defined by the media, movie starts, Hollywood, the model industry, big cosmetic brands. I grew up in a small village, and I couldn’t relate to the idea of beauty brought to you by putting layers on your face to cover your skin. When I moved to London, the pressure increased to fit a certain image, get a job when you look a certain way, be noticed when wearing certain things and soon, having been pure, I started playing along the game. People say, beauty is outwardly focused — a mask that we put on, or what we project in order to please others — we make a game for ourselves that is impossible to win.
Research shows that for most females, the inner beauty critic arrives at age 14 and continues to erode her self-esteem as she ages. In addition, research show that people who accept their looks are happier and healthier — the stress of fighting who you are can affect your health which in turn affects your physical beauty.

Tip No.1 : Beauty is something we do for ourselves!

FROM THE INSIDE OUT

Wanting to be sure of what is actually in the products we use has started a shift in beauty and even a green revolution to make our own products from what we have in our kitchen cupboards or fridge. Nature provides much to stay beautiful and feel beautiful from luxurious oils such as Argan Oil or essences to make you feel loved such as Rose essential oils. We can mix oils to bring back romantic memories or even a holiday memory to help feel immediately relaxed when applied. And you may be surprised to find that some of the best beauty ingredients might be in your weekly, monthly shopping trolley.
My goal sharing with you recipes and tips in this blog is to show you how effective natural products are and how you can use them in your day to day life.

Tip №1 : Beauty is something we do for ourselves!

First and foremost, I believe, beauty is something we do for ourselves. Not to impress someone, not to attract someone, not to get someone to like us — purely to make ourselves feel good or even great ! It is about expressing what is inside of us, to occasionally treat and indulge ourselves in the special moment. My mission is to share those recipes with you and what I learn and also that real beauty is about to promote a happier, healthier, more relaxed, more confident and comfortable “YOU”. Studies show that our perception of what is beautiful and what we think others find beautiful are often miles apart.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
