WHAT DEPRESSION REALLY MEANS AND HOW TO OVERCOME IT.
A lot of people have battled
with depression at one point of their life, some had the strength to overcome
it and some couldn’t. a lot of questions have raised on the internet of recent
about depression and what it actually means. Are you one of the curious people
who doesn’t really know what it feels to be depressed?
Depression is a kind of wild
feelings that mostly comes up after going through a difficult period which has
prompt you to experience some form of sadness and at the long run you couldn’t get
over it. Sadness might have happened after the death of someone that really
matters to you or after a heartbreak. Depression can take effect after a high
amount of sadness. The things that you love doing becomes boring, you stop
finding interest in the place, people or event that you use to love. When you
discover that no one or nothing makes you happy again then you know you dealing
with depression and you need to know if you don’t work on healing yourself it leads
it to a greater deal which prompt some people to commit suicide. The word
suicide seems hard to digest isn’t? worry less there are several ways you can
overcome depression and I will be dropping few ways here.
TO OVERCOME DEPRESSION:
- Talk to your love ones about it: Most times people who are suffering from depression
are very reluctant about telling people, maybe because of the fear of people
knowing their problem. Instead of keeping it to yourself and battling with it
alone talk to friends about it, tell them what has prompt your sadness, they
might be able to help you overcome it and when you have a loving family they
might even go extra length in helping you overcome your sadness.
- Think more about what the future has in store for you: Instead of focusing only on the things that has
cause you sadness, think more about what the future has in store for you, think
about the lovely things you have done which will yield and also think about the
things that makes you very special, focus more on those things that really
matters and makes your life beautiful trust me you won’t want to lose those
- Forget about the things that have hurt you: I know it might be hard to forget the things that
has hurt you totally but start thinking less about it everyday, instead of
thinking about the bitter part of your life, think about the great things you
have and when you measure them up you will realize how it pays to be alive with
the ones you adore.
- Pray to God about it: Prayer is the key to permanent healing, if it seems hard to control
pray to God about it and you will realize how your bitterness will start fading
- Visit a help center: This is an important factor you have to consider while suffering from
depression, you need to visit a help center, look for one around you and talk
to them about your pain and how hard it is for you, trust me they are expert
and they will know how to help you overcome this difficult time.
- Take your medications: Take drugs given to you and follow the process they
have install for you and always smile before you know it you are on your way to
- Be with the people that matters to you: While battling with depression remember to always be
with the people you love, stay around the things that use to make you happy and
at the process of healing you will start gaining interest in those things back.
