Catherine Cunningham is a creative director, business strategist, ecologist, anthropologist, and filmmaker. She has worked on purposeful communications for over a decade – delivering strategy, design, interactive experiences, visual exhibitions & multimedia productions to world-class clients, dedicated to speeding and scaling integrated solutions to global sustainability challenges. Many recent projects have led to the production of films for business and government that resonate with the UN Global Goals and have premiered in significant world forums. For 20 years, Catherine has travelled, written, photographed, and filmed in 67 countries; interviewed 100’s of thought leaders, and co-produced numerous creative projects to promote a high tech, clean energy, new climate future. Her company is a member to the UN Global Compact and she actively participates in UN Forums as a global thought leader. She writes for “Thrive Global” on human+nature, natural intelligence, and technology for global good. Her book, “Naturally Intelligent by Design” will be available in 2019. She has a new podcast, " Natural Intelligence Worldwide", recording in partnership with Eurovision at the World Economic Forum 2019. In higher education, she designed and taught a first-in-class university course on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to increase awareness and action on the UN Global Goals. Since 2000, Catherine has taught masters courses in corporate story-telling at Arizona State University; global sustainability at Chapman University, as well, biology, ecology, botany, environmental science at Denver State. She earned a PhD in Ecology at ETHZ, Switzerland; where she designed logistic regression models from climate, environment, and plant data to understand future climate impacts on mountain ecosystems. She holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology and International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame and an MS from Utah State in Ecology.
