In my many years on the planet, I have travelled the world – around United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America. The new perspectives we get from a culture or scenery different than our own can be impactful on our daily life when we return home – from new foods to how people treat one another. To optimize the mind-expanding qualities of travel and minimize the stressors, my best tip is to travel light, just a small pack that you can sling over your shoulder or easily carry up a few flights of stairs. A few changes of no-worry jewelry can make the same outfit feel completely different. An investment in a lightweight (but warm) jacket that packs small is worth it. Being mobile makes everything so much easier. Getting out of the box helps us restore.
