Oh traveling for business! While it was something that was welcomed and even something that others envied, it has now become something that is more of a hassle. Travelling frequently lead to a deterioration in health and an increase in stress. If your one of those that travels all the time, then you have to make this entire process as convenient as possible for yourself. So we have looked all over the Internet and taken the top 5 tips that you really cannot pass up. While it won’t potentially solve all your problems, it may make your life a little bit easier.

#1 Avoid Alcohol This Trip

The day before and the day of travel please refrain from alcohol. Drinking isn’t going to provide you with any benefits during your flight. In fact, it may disturb your sleep the night before. Plus it’s going to dehydrate you. Once you get where you are going, then you will want to limit your consumption. If you frequently hit the hotel bars, try skipping it during this trip. See if you feel better.

#2 Exercise

Continuing on this theme, when was the last time you tried out the hotel gym? You might be shocked at the quality of the hotel gyms. If your a normal gym goer, you will have access to the free weights and cardio equipment your used to. There are tons of reasons why you should exercise and alleviating stress is one of them. So instead of watching television or eating a meal full of fried foods, take a long walk or engage in something more vigorous.

#3 Join TSA Pre-Check

You probably saw this one coming, and if you are a veteran, then you probably already have this one covered. It’s only $85 and if you travel out of the country, Global entry is $100. This lasts for 5 years. This really is a no brainer, and if you think it’s a waste of money, then you haven’t seen how long security lines area. This allows you to pass by everyone else in a split second.

#4 Business Packing Tip

Decide if you want to carry on your luggage or check the bags. There are pros and cons to both. The first time the airline loses your bags, then you might be carrying your bags on for life. Personally I prefer checking bags. It’s nice to be able to just pass them off to someone else and pick them up at your final destination. With that being said, you will want to invest in some good luggage that will last you a long time. And don’t pack more than you need. In other words, pack light Some think of this as an art.

#5 Keep Your Routine

We could talk about charging your devices or having something good to read, but those are common sense. Do you skip breakfast when your normally at home? If so keep this same routing on the road. Go to bed at the same hours and wake up at the same time if possible. At the end of the day it’s not easy to travel and keeping everything routine will help you through the trip.

Remember, keep yourself healthy and you will feel better physically and mentally.
