Moving forward positively in most challenging situations by making use of p-p-c

#(Note:  I am sure many of you would have read about this story of the predicament of this pregnant deer and how successfully she focused at one major aspect at a time and got lucky, You may want to watch our  video link here or at the end of this article to connect that story with our topic here.)#

Tough tasks to be completed and feel drained out?  If your answer is yes, then you are not alone! No one likes to get out of the comfort zone given an opportunity. But the reality is that often we are pushed beyond the boundaries of our comfort zone. Not only that, ironically, many a times upon the successful completion we are also reminded of the quote that………..

“Life begins at the end of our comfort zone”.

What matters the most while performing under pressure? What can be done to move forward positively in such situations?

#First Step…Also the first P

Staying Positive by managing your emotions in positive(p*) constructive manner is one of the secret recipes to success.

When you see the pressure as a challenge, you are simulated to give the attention and energy needed to make your best effort.

Be positive and get in touch with your senses.Remembering your past success increases the confidence .The golden rule being not letting your emotions overpower your intelligence. “Successful leaders handle pressure very well and they don’t get perturbed” or in other words they manage their emotions well.

#Second Step…..Also the second P (Making it P-P-)

Don’t worry about getting defeated that is only a chance ,you need to concentrate on the task in hand now(stay in the present, one more p*)!Most of the times people fail because the dominant emotion is that of losing (fear of failure). So be strong and tackle the challenges.

#Third Step… Also the C in P-P-C

#Learning from athletes who are very good at coming back into the game by being in control(c*) of the situation by enjoying the game despite the pressure to win. This means developing Resilience Power like that of Michael Jordan who on several occasions through his brilliant last minute efforts saved his team Chicago bulls through photo finishes and long shots to success. The resilience to put it very simple is the ability to reload and adjust as fast as possible.By paying attention to how you react to a trigger situation you could develop self awareness to improve your resilience power. This also means achieving a level of maturity by managing the day to day challenges in the most appropriate manner. Handling challenges are like going through physical exercise that would strengthen you and would equip you to deal with various situations by being more resilient.

#Staying in control(c*) by throwing away negativity and focus on the goal : Remove all negativity and put all such thoughts into the recycle bin.Be fearless and concentrate on your capability with confidence.Always remember that positive(P*) anything is better than negative nothing and make sure you stay in control(c*)

To put it simply….  Go The P-P-C Way:

Well, this could be the best mantra to succeed while under pressure.

Stay Positive (P) ,Stay in the Present (P) and Stay in Control(C).

P-P-C is also all about changing the mindset positively by focusing, relaxing and enjoying while we visualize the goal and get immersed in the process.

Seeing pressure as a threat undermines self confidence and when you think otherwise you are stimulated to give the attention and energy needed to make the best effort.

“Get tough: Don’t work under pressure; Work over pressure”

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
