People always talk about success. Everyone wants to be successful, but have you ever thought of what is the true meaning of success? Well according to the dictionary (yes, the literal meaning), it is the “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” But what exactly does that mean? Is your understanding of success the same as mine?

Not really. Everyone has a different meaning of success. Your success could be earning a steady income each month, while mine could be helping four businesses get established and earn their first sale. Your success could be landing that high paying job, while mine could be having the freedom to work from anywhere around the globe and still help people.

But is that a bad thing? Absolutely not! In fact, it is fun and motivating to see other people’s success stories. It allows us to grow and learn from others and their journeys. Every step of your journey is successful, even if you do not know it yet. Knowing that from within you can change your perspective on success and help you grow your business faster.

Personally, I learned that lesson recently. Aside from working on my online store, I wanted to go back to getting a part time job just to keep myself busy (or busier, you can say). I applied for jobs and had interviews that did not interest me really, until I got one specific interview. It was different from the others. While I did not get the job, I was soo curious as to why did I even think about looking for jobs in the first place (did I really want to keep myself THAT busy?) and why did I decide to go through with that interview? And I did not even get the job, so what was the point of this process? It made me go crazy trying to think why did this opportunity come into my life. Until it hit me. This company was in a similar industry that I had always wanted to open up my own business in. This interview was not for me to work for this company, but it was an eye opener to a whole new industry that I was unaware of. Providing a service to clients was exactly what I wanted to do, however, I just was not aware that I could turn my passion into a business. And that was when I started joining Facebook groups with coaches and learned that this is exactly what I love doing! I love helping people find their true passion and turn their dreams into a reality. I get to do what I love, help clients do what they love, AND make a living! I don’t know about you, but I call that success.

So, what have you done that makes you feel happy and content? What is your success story? Please share with me on my Facebook page using #MySuccessIsDifferent. I would love to hear your stories!
