Thrive Global: What’s the first thing you do when you get out of bed?
Allan Markin: The first thing I do when I get out of bed is breathing exercises and Lord’s prayer.

TG: What gives you energy?
AM: Doing things for others and creating value to help others gives me energy.

TG: What’s a daily habit or practice that helps you thrive?
AM: Aerobic exercise is a daily habit that helps me thrive.

TG: Name a book that changed your life.
AM: Some booked that have changed my life include:

TG: How do you deal with email?
AM: I check my email every 2 hours throughout the day.

TG: Tell us about your relationship with your phone. Does it sleep with you?
AM: I have too much of a relationship with my phone. No, I do not sleep with my phone.

TG: You unexpectedly find 15 minutes in your day, what do you do with it?
AM: I breath, relax or meditate if I unexpectedly find 15 minutes in my day.

TG: When was the last time you felt burned out and why?
AM: The last time I felt burned out was April 2, 2012.

TG: When was the last time you felt you failed and how did you overcome it?
AM: I have never felt like I have failed.

TG: Share a quote that you love and that gives you strength or peace.
