The Seagull’s Laugh

A mindful moment

Seattle, WA  JWW

On this morning’s walk

it was you celebrating the moment

that broke through the abyss of my thoughts.

Your laugh- so familiar- like her pleased chuckle

that would follow a ‘how do you like them apples!’

it was you, Seagull, in your happy glory,

that I marveled at when I looked up.
And also her…

Until we meet again.

To being present to the moment and to gratitude for all of the creatures of the world – JWW

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
