The Push

A poem.

When life pushes you down

Keep getting up

When your legs are heavy

Keep running

When your arms are lagging

Keep swinging

When the trail is covered

Keep hiking

When the days are down

Keep chugging

When the going gets tough

Keep working

When they tell you’re finished

Keep going

When they tell you can’t

Keep doing

When they tell you it’s not worth it

Keep smiling

When you get everything you dreamed of

Keep giving back

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
