I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a skeptic. I don’t pay much attention to infomercials, and when my doctor prescribed me something to help focus more fully throughout the day, I usually declined. Sure, I wanted a solution to that nagging feeling of fatigue and brain fog that seemed to hit on my morning commute and not subside until I closed my eyes at night, but I didn’t want to further harm my health in the process.

I tried energy drinks, prescription medication, fancy teas, and of course, impressive amounts of coffee. While I am convinced frequent trips to the coffee machine are what actually got me through every work week for the last several years, none of these routes offered a solution to my inability to focus and overall lack of energy.

It would start moments after my alarm sounded. I felt sluggish and uninspired, yet I dragged myself out the door and off to work. When I arrived I felt like I had an inability to focus on and accomplish a single task. I wondered if my coworkers thought I was scatterbrained or just plain crazy.

Eventually, the fatigue began to affect my productivity. I wasn’t reaching expected goals at work, weekend chores were being traded for long naps, and I never felt fully present when spending time with friends and family. I knew something wasn’t right, but I didn’t know how to fix it.

That’s when I turned to Google. My No. 1, resource when I need an answer, and I need one fast. Because I, personally, am not interested in taking pharmaceuticals to find more focus, I searched phrases like, “natural energy supplement,” and “natural ways to focus better.” I scrolled the results and eventually found something I had never seen before — a product from a company named EZ Lifestyle

The website bragged about a product called the FuelEZ Energy Supplement. Reading the description, I learned that the supplement is packed with vitamins, minerals, and all-natural amino acids that combine to provide enough energy to stay focused and alert for an entire day. Ingredients I had never heard of, like L-tyrosine and Thiamin, were supposed to support energy production while fighting stress and mental fatigue. Of course, I didn’t fully believe the claims, but it was affordable, and I was desperate.

Pushing my inner skeptic aside, I decided I had nothing to lose and clicked, “Add to Cart.” Three or four days later, a small package arrived in the mail, and I opened it to find a small red box, marked FuelEZ Natural Energy Supplement. The box offered even more claims, like mental clarity, energy, and sustained focus. Only one capsule in the morning, and I’d more productive at work and home. This definitely had to be too good to be true, but there was no doubt I’d be taking one the next morning.

It was a Tuesday, and I rolled out of bed feeling unmotivated — like I should maybe call my boss, cough into the phone, and use a sick day. But I decided to open the little red packet and take the FuelEZ capsule instead. If nothing else, I assumed the green coffee extract would give me the pep I needed to get to the office and start working.

In just 10 minutes I was feeling different. I noticed a push of energy that was similar to my daily first cup of coffee, but it didn’t fade after 30 minutes at my desk. In fact, once at my desk, I started accomplishing tasks I’d put aside for days, tackling one at a time until they were actually complete. I was able to hold conversations with my coworkers without wandering off into another daydream or wishing I was home napping instead. I wasn’t completely convinced, but this sure felt different than your usual cup of Folgers or 5-hour Energy shot.

My productivity from work seemed to spill over into my evening. Finally, I had had an accomplished day and felt an overall sense of joy that I hadn’t felt in a while. I decided I would try it again on Wednesday, and see if my energy, focus, and productivity was a placebo effect or something real.

I took the supplement on Wednesday morning before my commute, and by the time I arrived at work, I felt just as motivated and focused as the day before. I accomplished all of my tasks and even set up a dinner date with friends later in the week — something I hadn’t felt this excited about in months or even years.

One year later, I’m still ordering FuelEZ. I’ve noticed positive impacts on my work life, social life, and home life, and I’m no longer a skeptic. I’m so grateful that a simple combination of eight all-natural vitamins and minerals could be the solution to fatigue issues that plagued me for years. My only regret is not getting on Google and finding a solution earlier.
