It’s the weekend, you have been waiting for this all week. Friday night you spend out with friends or colleagues or tucked up on the sofa at home, Saturday you relax, if you’re lucky you are outside enjoying the weather, laughing and enjoying yourself and the Sunday hits.
You have to go to work again tomorrow and whilst you try and enjoy the day it’s in the back of your mind. You go to bed but you can’t sleep, you toss and turn thinking about what the week at work has in store for you, what you will be wearing and how rubbish you will feel in the morning because you haven’t slept well.
“Morning, how was your weekend?”
“Not long enough”
“Tell me about it, if only we could have five days off and work just two”
“Yeh, that would be great”.
It’s Monday, you plough through your emails, attend your meetings but can’t get motivated to do any ‘real’ work.
On Tuesday you feel in a real slump, and as Wednesday arrives you realise you need to get some work done.
Thursday arrives, “Yay, it’s Friday tomorrow. What have you got planned for the weekend?”
Friday is here, all the lovely meme’s filling your social media feeds, “Friday, where have you been? I missed you!” If you are lucky you can get everything done, and leave a bit earlier, after all the boss isn’t in today and you’ve had a busy week.
And then it continues.

Get passionate about what you are doing. If you want to leave your job, leave. If you can’t, find a way to make it more manageable, identify what you love about what you do and do it.
Don’t get sucked in by the negativity of others.
Be the change you want to see.
You will spend more than half of your life at work, don’t waste it!
