Long gone are the days where looking good has to mean being completely uncomfortable in your clothes. With the options and variety of clothing styles and materials, there are many ways to dress in a way that is fashionable and looks put-together without having to compromise comfort and support. Below are some top clothing items to consider that are tried and true.

1. Shapewear

No matter what you want to wear, a shapewear piece can help flatter your figure and smooth any areas you don’t love. Women’s shapewear has advanced significantly with styles to work with your wardrobe. There’s a shapewear solution for almost every silhouette. The options can help shape core areas such as your butt, thighs, hips, and stomach. And, thanks to technology, not all shapewear is uncomfortable. Lightweight and seamless fabric can allow you to feel supported and comfortable in your outfit all day long.

2. High-Waisted Pants

Everyone needs a few pairs of trusted pants that can be worn in many different ways. If you are uncomfortable with your stomach, high-waisted pants are a must-have. However, they are not just for plus size or those with problem areas. Anyone with any type of shape can look great and feel comfortable in a pair. High-waisted bottoms can appeal to women of all ages and shapes.

3. T-Shirt Dresses

For women, nothing is as versatile and comfortable as a good t-shirt dress. They are casual yet look put-together. They are breathable without being too revealing. They can be worn in a variety of ways including paired with a good pair of tights and boots during the cooler months. If you are worried about the fabric revealing your undesired body parts, you can wear a t-shirt dress with some shapewear underneath.

4. Tights

For many women, tights are a staple in the wardrobe. They come in a variety of styles, colors, and fabrics. Whether they are opaque, sheer, fishnet or bright colors, they are something that most women cannot live without. They can be worn under dresses, with long t-shirts and even with a pair of shorts. To be comfortable and have support, consider buying types that have control tops to keep your stomach tight. These will let you enjoy the style you want along with the support of your stomach and butt you desire.

5. Sweatpants

A casual pair of sweatpants can be used for more than just a trip to the gym or relaxing at home. They can also be a staple for a good, casual outfit. They can be used to create a sporty outfit or a casual feminine look for a day out on the town. The best part about wearing an outfit with sweatpants is that they can be super comfortable for any event and will keep you supported and feeling great.

6. Sports Bra

Nothing can be as uncomfortable as an ill-fitted bra. Whether you have a long day of work, a trip to the gym in the plans or just want to relax at home, a sports bra is a must-have. Finding the perfect sports bra is essential to getting the comfort and support you need to get you through the day. When in doubt, a bra fitting with a specialist should be considered.

As you can see, you don’t have to give up fashion for support and comfort. The key is finding the right pieces to match together. It may take a little time and creativity, but a chic outfit can be put together that you will love wearing over and over again.
