As we understand life today, it is unthinkable to live it without electrical appliances. Often they stop working and that’s when the eternal dilemma arises of whether to repair it or buy a new one. In most cases this dilemma comes because if the repair is not good we will have a device that will continually give us problems and in the end the solution will be to buy a new one. How many of us have this ever happened to in our lives? For this reason, from appliance repair is intended to achieve the full trust of its customers and reduce the rate of dissatisfaction in terms of repairs.

Household appliances are part of our day-to-day life, they perform some domestic tasks for us and streamline others in our routine. They help us prepare and cook food, assist us in cleaning the home and are also used by institutions, industries and businesses. Within the world of household appliances, it should be noted that there are two lines of classification and differentiation of these appliances. One of them would be the brown line that refers to the set of video and audio appliances and would include televisions, audio and DVD players or landlines, among others. On the other hand, we have the white line that is reduced to those devices related to the kitchen and home cleaning, such as washing machines, microwaves, refrigerators, ovens, and a long etcetera.

As we said, it is normal that at some point in their useful life they begin to fail or directly stop working. While the device in question is under warranty it hardly bothers us, but the real problem comes when that warranty has expired because then we do not know if it is convenient for us to repair it or buy a new one. Many people choose as an option to throw it away and buy a new one, the result of dissatisfaction and bad experiences with previous repairs. And, unfortunately, in times of crisis this problem grows even more as fake appliance repair services proliferate, making it very difficult to distinguish between these frauds and the official ones.

This increase in illegal appliance repair technical assistance has disastrous consequences for the consumer’s wallet. Disguised under the guise of official technical services (even using the logo of a well-known brand) they try to deceive a consumer who can see how these so-called “technicians” charge up to three times more than the real budget, they work without an invoice, which entails that there is no type of guarantee on the work carried out, and they even require payment in advance. So much so is this disease, that sometimes the remedy ends up being worse than the disease because these false technicians do not even have the necessary training to carry out these repairs and, on many occasions, the device is unusable,

Differences between an official and an unofficial repair.

Although it may seem that the result is the same, in the long run, one repair does not imply the same risks and results as another. Official repairs are those carried out by the technical service of the brand of our appliance. It can also be a technical service that is not typical of the brand but that is authorized by it to repair its devices. Unofficial repairs can be done by anyone, regardless of the brand. It can be a non-affiliated service, workshop, repair shop, or we can even do it ourselves.

These unofficial repairs may not only fail to solve the problem for us, they may also cause others. Technicians often find broken cables, irretrievably damaged motherboards, and broken parts, misplaced or even missing screws. In addition, we are not exempt from being bullied and repairing us with non-original components. As a consequence, in the end an unofficial repair ends up being more expensive, even if at first we think that we are saving money in this way.
