If most of our time is spent using smartphones, it is best to implement certain practices for managing self care. Below are three ways to practice self care by staying hyper focused on the ways and methods in which you use your smartphone. 

Technological innovation is reshaping the world faster than ever before. It is important to utilize apps to reshape your life in a positive way.

  1. Download the Necessities: Only download the apps you are going to use. It sounds easy enough, but you are probably wondering how do you know which apps to keep or delete. Try to limit your yourself to five apps at a time. Based on the needs of your household, make sure to be deliberate about which ones you choose. For example, if you are looking to purchase, sell, or finance your car, the app Blinker is ideal. It makes the process simple and easy. Another helpful app that relates to health the HEALTH app. It help you monitor your healthy habits and comes pre-installed on most smart phones.

  1. Set Limits: Set a timer on your phone in 10 minutes intervals while using certain apps. This will help you limit the amount of time that you spend on a particular app. By setting a timer for the number of minutes that you spend on specific apps, you are caring for your time and mental space. Also, there is a feature on iOS that shows you how many hours or minutes you spend on your phone.

  1. Assess Your Needs: Be honest with yourself about the benefits for specific apps. Assess the needs for certain apps and delete the ones that are of no use to you for your daily life. Do your research and delete any app that drains your battery. Most likely, it is the same app that also drains your time.
