The two silent killers. They come, do the damage, and leave slowly into the darkness. Little do we know about these two fellas – but they’re doing great business – customers always return for more.
Would you say that is a form of addiction? I’d say so.
They’re in almost everything we consume daily and we don’t even realize it. The craving for something salty or sweet. The yearning to grab the nearest snack to help you through the day.
Your doctor will tell you the best way to a healthier lifestyle is to cut down these two – but we choose to ignore this.
Sugar – can cause insulin resistance, obesity and diabetes.
Salt – can cause high blood pressure which leads to heart attack and stroke.
How many studies do you need to read to tell yourself these two fellas are going to reduce your lifespan? I can throw more statistics at you, or research and studies but are you going to simply read this blog and ignore it.
What is it going to take for you to understand the dangers of salt and sugar? Unfortunately, 9 times out of 10 we normally take action when its too late i.e. you actually suffer from an illness related to your salt and sugar intake. Why not make preventative measures today? Start now by lowering your intake gradually.
Make yourself aware of what you’re eating and cut it down – be consistent with this goal. As a coach, I also assist with dieting within the mindset. Mind over matter.
