The Awakening

When you are tired of the hustle and lie awake at night, listening to your soul whisper, “Who am I?”

The Thrive Global Community welcomes voices from many spheres on our open platform. We publish pieces as written by outside contributors with a wide range of opinions, which don’t necessarily reflect our own. Community stories are not commissioned by our editorial team and must meet our guidelines prior to being published.

“There is a place within you; the home of stillness, of silence, of now. The place of endings and beginnings, of everything and nothing, of infinity and eternity. It is in every breath, every heartbeat, every moment. Listen. Listen. Listen.” ~ Alexandra Domelle

Has it all been thought, said and done?

Or are we just playing it out,

In different ways,

At different time points?

Is there something truly new,

Being discovered?

Are we as unique as we think we are?

Or simply the same code,

Repeating itself over and over?

Like the hamster running in its wheel,

Moving yet stationary.

Cut from the same cloth,

Birthed of the one Source,

Bound together by invisible ties.

You and I are the same,

In our core, our source, our soul.

And this form we take,

Skin colour, eye colour, hairstyle and height,

Where we live, what we earn, how we speak,

Then there is what we are called,

Names. Titles. Relationships.

Birth at one end,

Death at another,

Life in between.

Unique and yet, the same.

Thank you for choosing to read this story. If these words resonated with you, please share this with your loved ones. Yours, in appreciation, Alexandra

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
