PECRON has a series of portable power station equipped with LiFePO4, which has several advantages over lithium-ion battery.

1. Longer life

LiFePO4 offers 4 to 5 times the number of charge cycles than lithium-ion, this feature gives our power station 2000 cycles and a lifespan of over 10 years, most of other power stations on since the market uses lithium-ion, their lifespan is therefore ≥500 cycles 80%

2. Safer

LiFePO4 has excellent thermal and chemical stability. This battery stays cool at higher temperatures. It is also noncombustible when poorly managed during rapid charges and discharges or when there are short circuit problems. LiFePO4 does not normally experience thermal runaway, as the phosphate cathode will not burn or explode during overcharging or overheating, as the battery stays cool.

What is a portable power station?

A portable power station is a generator powered by a rechargeable battery. Equipped with an AC outlet, DC carport, and USB charging ports, they can keep all your gear charged, from smartphones, tablets, laptops, to CPAPs and small devices, like a fan, mini coolers, electric blankets, etc.

Which inverter to choose?

It is important to choose the right inverter since it will limit the power delivered by the panel producing the least. Care must therefore be taken to avoid stupidly losing production.

Thus, when we have two fields of modules, if we put a central inverter, we would only produce at the hours when the sun arrives on the two fields. What we want to avoid. We will therefore choose in this situation a battery-powered inverter generator in order to avoid these losses. In the same way, if we realize that one of our solar panels is a little shaded (by a tree or a new construction), we risk having a power limitation, we will then favor the installation of battery-powered inverter generator.

How does a portable power station work?

In fact, it is a DC to AC inverter that increases the DC voltage and then changes it to AC before sending it out to power a device, like your laptop and TV. The DC input port collects and stores electricity / energy from an AC outlet or solar panel and outputs via built-in USB ports, DC carport or AC outlet.
