The 4 Best Podcasts to Help You Decompress After a Difficult Day

Need to decompress after a long day at work? I got you covered.

Sometimes flopping yourself in front of the TV works, and sometimes you just need to chill with your favorite hosts. I tend to stay away from anything that is business-related – because I don’t want to think about work when I just got back from work.

Best Motivational Podcast: Whispers of Genius Echoes of Madness The Steve Maraboli Podcast

I love this one for a few reasons. Steve Maraboli shoots from the hip. He’s not someone who will tell you what you WANT to hear, he tells you what you need to hear – and he does it unapologetically. It’s like getting advice from your best friend (who is famous for giving advice lol). He’s also really funny. If you’re looking for inspiration, motivation, and life advice – look no further.

Best Entertainment Podcast: Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard and Monica Padman

Dax and Monica sit down with a special guest. It’s not your typical interview podcast. You get a lot out of it, as Dax is super interested in the things they don’t typically discuss in interviews. “Tell me about your relationship with your dad.” Dax does not want to hear about your awards, he wants to hear about your failures, what makes you, you. Because as he says, it makes you relatable. It’s refreshing. And Monica’s Fact Check is so much fun. For about 20-30 mins after the special guest part, they just chat.

Best Political Podcast: Real Time with Bill Maher

If you don’t have HBO – you can listen to Bill’s show on your podcast app. Bill has on guests, right and left of the political spectrum. Bill Maher calls out everyone – no one is safe. Although, this is more of a left podcast. The last segment tends to be super funny and educational.

Best Conversation Podcast: The Joe Rogan Experience

Joe Rogan has a lot of different guests. Comedians, athletes, scientists, he gets them all. If you’re looking to wind down and laugh and sometimes learn, this podcast is perfect.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
