The year 2020 will get marked for the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. No one ever imagined towards the end of 2019 that a virus could have such a debilitating impact on the planet. It has adversely impacted the health of people as well as the entire economy. On one end, there were massive deaths because of the virus contamination, and on the other end, people have been losing jobs or had to close down retail stores, restaurants, and factory outlets. It has undoubtedly resulted in the loss of income and economic wealth, but it has critically impacted people’s emotional and mental health. And today, it is necessary to remedy the same by implementing proper tactics.

You can count on the tips for emotional wellness by Eric Dalius and ensure that you stay physically and mentally agile and robust. Some of the essential guidelines to follow are:

  1. Talk about your feelings to your friends and dear ones

For the past few months, there have been mass anxiety and nervousness all over the world. People have been afraid because, to date, the availability of the vaccine is limited, and the pandemic curve is yet to flatten down. Even though the recovery rates are high, people fear getting contaminated and following a 14 days quarantine recovery schedule. Some people have undergone pay cuts and job loss as well. All these have made them anxious and speculate about life endlessly. During such a mental turmoil, it is essential to get talking to your friends and family members.

Sharing is therapeutic! It will help you remove the dense emotions off your chest and neutralize it with a logical discussion. You can also get solutions to your problems that you thought were critical and feel better.

  • Meditation is the cure for many issues

Currently, everyone is resonating in palpable energy! According to Eric J Dalius, it is natural considering the current state of affairs. One of the best tools to heal emotional health is through meditation. You can keep aside time every day for your meditation after you get up from sleep and before you go to sleep. You can focus on deep breath work during meditation. It helps to soothe your nerves and bring in calm, which is the need of the hour.

Meditation helps the brain to relax. It reduces the mind clutter and allows a person to think logically. With regular meditation, you will gain the capacity to stay calm and assertive during moments of crisis or shock. For instance, if the news updates about community transmission scare you, switch to meditation. It will help you overcome the negative mind charge and draw in relaxation, balancing your hormones and other body chemicals. As a result, your body doesn’t undergo hormonal imbalances and other discomforts that extreme stress and anxiety can result in and disturb your internal balance.

  • Get engaged in various activities

Staying locked down at home is not a rewarding experience. It leads to an impending sense of uncertainty and mental fatigue. It will help if you cut through both by getting engaged in various activities. Every day encourage yourself to undertake home errands and chores that will help you to stay busy. You can do this in addition to working from home. It will also keep you physically active and allow your mind to stay engaged.

That is not all. You can also get engaged in activities that help you to stay happy and active. For instance, take time out to cook your best dishes for yourself and your family, keeping in mind the health restrictions. You could also get engaged in creative works as that helps the mind to relax and release all stress and tension. There are plenty of ways to unleash your creativity. For instance, you can paint, decorate old bottles, use it as home décor art and make papercrafts. Alternatively, you can get back to your dance and music lessons and take a few online classes at a convenient time. It will help you to divert the focus and stay mentally agile.

  • Listen to soothing music

Music has a way to heal the mind. You can switch to pleasant music during such testing times. It helps to calm down the nerve and relax you instantly. Make sure to spend some time listening to instrumental music after you finish your day’s work. It will help you ease your stressed mind, help you with better ideas at work, and manage your daily chores at home. You can even play an instrumental track when you work to focus on the job at hand better, without getting anxious.

  • Exercise and eat a balanced diet

According to EJ Dalius, you need to boost your immunity currently. And there is no better way to do this than eating a balanced diet. You can cook your best comfort food at home. Additionally, you can ensure that you have a healthy platter, which includes healthy greens and fruits. You can create healthy dishes and give them a unique name to feel good. Make sure you use various herbs like rosemary, thyme, basil, dill, and parsley. You can also add several herbal teas and concoction to your diet to clean your digestive system and stay healthy.

Additionally, exercising is an excellent option to stay healthy and boost your immune system. The human body needs to exercise and used rigorously to be in good condition and shape. Hence, you can choose the exercise form of your choices such as Pilates, yoga, or aerobics and devote about thirty minutes to an hour. If you want, you start your exercise regime by walking, which will help to make you lean and fit. Exercise also helps to flush out the toxins and induces a feel-good factor.

Taking care of your emotions and the mind is crucial during this time. Else it will make you feel miserable and emotionally helpless. Take time to understand what you are feeling, and that will let you get to the solution. The guidelines mentioned above can help you to stay at peace during this pandemic phase.
